[Several days after their conversation on the finder, it's mid-afternoon when Daphne receives a text, unnecessary of course, but D'Artagnan has yet to emerge his from his bedroom today and somehow, it seems easier to remain this distanced, should she decline in the wake of his graceless behaviour as of late.]

What've we left in the refrigerator? I thought you might like to have dinner with me.

[A notion which perhaps bodes well, as he's not eaten much at all since returning from the facility.]

[ daphne isn't expecting a message. she gives d'artagnan the space that he requested, milling about the grounds of the property during the day, unless she's out of the house visiting with a close friend (more often than not, for as long as she is allowed.) she's been scoping out where certain flowers may go. if there's space, resources, to see how planting a small vegetable or herb garden might go. it isn't in her wheelhouse, but there are people they can hire to help with such, right? if it is only an interest of hers, she wouldn't expect d'artagnan or geralt to have anything to do with it...

she's outside when she feels the vibration of her phone in her pocket, reaching for it and looking down in surprise. this question, she already knows the answer to. she's fussed around in the kitchen of late too, a pretty arrangement of spring flowers on the counter.

I would like to do so, yes.
We have plenty to make a nice salad. There is some fish I have been meaning to make, also a type of sausage, I believe. Some ground meat. Our pantry is full of any dried ingredients we may wish to use.

[ a long beat, her eyes tilting to the sky -- she's only just outside the house. ]
