Hello. I hope this message finds you well. [ a little clear of her throat. ] As it is December and with the holiday approaching, I would like to make a suggestion. Christmas is rather differently honored and celebrated in the time I am from, but I find it remarkable how bright and brilliant it seems to become in later centuries and decades.
I have heard of a tradition that I believe is called Secret Santa. [ said as if she's trying to be sure that the phrasing is correct, though no one she shares her house with would be able to deny or confirm anyway! ] If you have heard of it and would like to participate, I should like to organize the event.
For those who do not know what it is...it seems you are assigned a person to pick and bestow a gift to out of a list of many other participants. I am including a form to which I would like anyone who wants to sign up to fill out. If you are unable to do so, you may send me a voice or video message as well. Additionally, once assigned someone and if you require assistance in picking out a gift, I shall be happy to provide such.
Naturally, you shall give the person you are assigned their gift before the holiday arrives. [ a long beat, a long inhale, anticipation glittering in her eyes. she's got this next part all ready to go, too. ] There shall be invites sent out later, but there will be a ball with dinner on Christmas Eve that I am hosting with my brother and husband, as well, so you may exchange your gift there, or at another time, of course.
